On September 13, 2025, Healthcare and Education for All (HEALL), in partnership with Live Well Greenville, the East Carolina University College of Nursing, and Pitt County Schools, hosted a vibrant Community Health Day at the ECU College of Nursing Campus in Greenville, North Carolina.
The event brought together families, healthcare professionals, and local businesses for a day dedicated to promoting wellness, preventive healthcare, and community connection. From free health screenings to educational games and wellness activities, participants experienced an engaging and informative atmosphere designed to encourage healthy living for all ages.
Attendees benefited from complimentary blood pressure, glucose, BMI, and vision checks, conducted by skilled nurses and volunteers. The Vendor Village showcased local small businesses offering healthy foods, wellness services, and mini workshops—highlighting the community’s commitment to accessible health resources and small business support.
To add to the excitement, families who completed all screening stations were entered into raffles for special prizes and received wellness kits and fresh produce, courtesy of HEALL and its partners. The event also featured interactive health games for children, ensuring that learning about wellness was both fun and impactful.
The Community Health Day successfully fulfilled its mission of connecting people with vital health resources, raising awareness about preventive care, and strengthening community partnerships. HEALL extends heartfelt appreciation to all volunteers, partners, and participants who made the event a success—and looks forward to expanding its outreach through future initiatives that bring health and education to every community.
